An infant cannot communicate.
I did not choose to be mutilated.
It was not my choice to be left with so little flesh that moving brings me pain, nor was it my choice to feel nothing but agony in what one should find pleasure.
Yet I am mocked for my condition.
I navigate a world that dismisses the pain of victims like me, making jokes out of our experiences.
The isolation, strained relationships, shattered trust, lives lost.
No one takes it seriously.
I was not born defective.
I was born without a right to my own body.
Circumcision is mutilation.
